

Jan oversaw the successful rollout of Disney+ in EMEA in 2020, which is now available to more than 60 countries and territories in the region. He also closely collaborates with the consumer products team. Based out of Disney’s regional headquarters in London, Jan is accountable for Disney+, motion pictures, television including Disney channels, ESPN, FOX and National Geographic, media distribution, content sales and strategy and business development, as well as music and stage shows across EMEA. Additionally, they’re writing a movie musical for Disney+, produced by Suzanne Todd.įor TV/streaming, the duo contributed the first original song for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (Disney+) – performed by Grammy winner Olivia Rodrigo & Joshua Bassett – and penned all the songs for the critically acclaimed musical episode of ABC’s Once Upon A Time. In the feature film world, Zachary and Weiner are currently writing the screenplay and songs for an original live-action movie musical for TriStar Pictures (Jason Reed Productions). They also wrote songs for Paws of Fury, the Paramount Pictures animated feature, co-directed by Lion King director Rob Minkoff. Their stage musical adaptation of Trading Places had its world premiere at Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre in Spring 2022, directed by Tony Award winner Kenny Leon (book: Thomas Lennon).

ALAN ZACHARY & MICHAEL WEINER wrote the score for the Broadway musical comedy First Date ( book: Austin Winsberg), which premiered at the Longacre Theatre starring Zachary Levi and has subsequently had over 250 productions around the world.
